Originally from the N. Shore of Massachusetts, Betsy moved to Maine in the 70’s as a part of the “back to the land movement”, living in an off-grid home in northern Maine, learning to heat and cook with wood, snowshoe, and grow her own organic gardens. Along with her two young daughters, Betsy and her husband moved to Vinalhaven island and earned their living renovating homes and running a gourmet food shop in the summertime. After six years they returned to the mainland and bought a 200-year-old home in Rockland and Betsy became licensed in real estate, listing and selling homes from Appleton to Waldoboro and throughout the mid coast area. A move to SW Florida with a broker’s license opened new opportunities for investment and together with her husband, purchased, renovated, and sold a marina on the St John River, a dozen homes and several commercial properties. Betsy was a top producer for C-21 and later opened her own brokerage on Pine Island. In more recent years Betsy has lived in both Maine and Florida working in property management, investment, and sales. Betsy and her husband now reside in Nobleboro and enjoy cooking, gardening, sailing, and yes, working on house renovation projects in their spare time.
